WV Water Workshop: Info Still Flowing
Many thanks to the teachers, presenters, and organizers of the WV Water Workshop held August 1, 2015 in Charleston.
Image credit: The map of WV Watersheds (at left) was created by WV hydrology doctoral student, Brandi Gaertner.
The workshop was a worthwhile event and increased my interest in continuing to learn more about West Virginia watersheds, aquaculture and aquaponics research, and applications of these areas of research to increase student engagement and interest in water ecology and water-related enterprises.
Below are three areas for follow-up to the one-day workshop event.
• Instructions for teachers requesting either WVU continuing education or graduate credit for the WV Water Workshop are available by email. Contact: capstonegroupinc@gmail.com
• Electronic access to the list of the recommended web-based lessons and resources for classroom teachers is also available for download from this website.
